Nach 18 Jahren Ehe wird Fran (Fran Drescher) von einer schockierenden Beichte ihres Ehemanns Peter überrumpelt: Er ist homosexuell. Doch weil es zu teuer wäre, wenn sie das gemeinsame Haus verkaufen würden, bleibt Peter in Frans Haus wohnen. Und tatsächlich verstehen die Beiden sich noch immer sehr gut. Jetzt da sie Single ist, muss Fran sich jedoch wieder in das schwierige Dating-Leben einfinden und trifft auf den attraktiven Glenn. Der wiederum ist nicht gerade begeistert, dass Fran sich mit ihrem Ex-Mann noch so gut versteht.
