Felix Unger und Oscar Madison ziehen zusammen.Beide haben sich von ihren Ehefrauen getrennt und beschließen jetzt, ein zweites Mal zusammen zu wohnen, nachdem sie sich bereits in den 1980er Jahren angefreundet und eine Studenten-WG gegründet hatten. Obwohl der faule und schlampige Oscar und sein neurotischer Kumpel Felix kaum unterschiedlicher sein könnten, funktioniert das Zusammenleben der beiden erstaunlich gut. Auch wenn Oscars Freunde und diversen Damenbekanntschaften Felix immer wieder zur Verzweiflung bringen. Zudem nutzt Felix’ Ex-Frau jede Gelegenheit, ihren früheren Gatten wieder zurückzugewinnen.

With the help of Murph, Oscar decides to throw a big party when Felix finally agrees to spend the weekend away. Also, Felix and Emily have their first sleepover.

Oscar faces a personal dilemma when he dates a young nanny, Allyson, who works for his neighbor, Charlotte. Also, Emily forces Felix to participate in an activity she's interested in, for a change.

When Oscar learns that his favorite hangout, Langford’s, is in financial trouble, he impulsively asks Felix to help save it, without considering the disastrous consequences. Also, Felix tries to make his mark on the restaurant when the owner, Fred Langford , puts him in charge for a few days.

Oscar sets out to prove to Charlotte how he's capable of being responsible when he volunteers to take her son Evan (Caleb Brown) trick-or-treating on Halloween, while Felix celebrates the holiday by leading the kids in their building on a haunted history tour.

Dreipaartherapie
Weil Teddy Ärger mit Diane hat, wendet er sich an Oscar, der ihn zu einem echten Männerabend einlädt. Als die beiden sturzbetrunken zu Hause ankommen, ist Felix gar nicht begeistert. Es kommt zum Streit, woraufhin sich Felix kurzerhand bei seiner Ex Emily einquartiert, die gerade erst mit Dani zusammengezogen ist. Während Felix’ Anwesenheit die beiden Frauen in den Wahnsinn treibt, ruiniert Oscar mit seinen gut gemeinten Ratschlägen Teddys Beziehung. Eine Therapeutin soll helfen.

Felix goes into a frenzy when the responsibility of hosting the Unger family Christmas falls onto his plate after his perfectionist mother bows out. Meanwhile, Oscar tries to convince his roomie's mom to give her son a break.

Felix’ Date mit Eve endet in einem Desaster, worauf er die Nacht mit Barkeeperin Natasha verbringt. Am nächsten Tag hat er jedoch Mühe, sie wieder loszuwerden. Derweil müssen sich Oscar und Charlotte über den Stand ihrer Beziehung klarwerden. Denn sie haben beide Angst, sich fest zu binden.

Oscar nimmt im Fernsehen an einem Tippspiel für die Eishockey Liga teil. Dabei tritt er gegen einen Pinguin aus dem Zoo an, der jeweils durch eines von zwei möglichen Toren laufen muss. Weil Oscar es satt hat, gegen einen Pinguin zu verlieren, stattet er dem Zoo einen Besuch ab. Emily hingegen hat Erfolg auf ganzer Linie: Sie ist Schmuckdesignerin des Monats auf der Seite bling.com. Als sie Felix wegen eines Fotos um Hilfe bittet, interpretiert der die Situation ganz anders …
